I run office 2000 premium on windows XP. When I start outlook it takes 4
minutes 15 seconds to open. I posted this problem some time ago and I was
told to delete the file outcmd.dat but this did not solve the problem. The
problem affects all accounts on XP, so a local user file is unlikely to be
the problem.
Anyone got any other ideas?
Knowledge base suggests a similar problem related to files msvcrt.dll &
msvcrt40.dll - the files I have are certainly more recent that those on the
office CD and seem to fit the KB description as being wrong but how do I
copy dll's from the CD to the system32 directory - XP just notices that the
files have changed and reverses whatever I do.
