Outlook 2000 to 1 and 1 Outlook 2003 Exchange

Currently running Outlook 2000 with one email account on Windows XP Home.
Also currently sync with Palm TX that runs Palm OS 5.

I have been asked by a client to add an email account through 1 and 1, an
ISP. I would need to download Outlook 2003 Exchange. I want to preserve all
my contacts, email, calendar--everything from Outlook 2000, but don't know
the steps to take to transition to this Outlook 2003 Exchange. The ISP is no
help, they say Outlook is not their software, though they provide it.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

There is no such beast as Outlook Exchange. Tell us exactly what this is supposed to do? Is this a hosted Exchange service you are trying to access? Have you asked 1 and 1 for information/instructions?

Your mail/contacts is contained within the pst file
Once registered with 1&1, with the correct package, it would appear you have
to access your 1&1 control panel and then order the OL2003 dowload/cd.
There is a FAQ on their site regarding setting up
