outlook 2000 to outlook 2007

Hi! I am having difficulty transferring my emails, contacts, calendars from
outlook 2000 to outlook 2007. I used the back up utility from microsoft. I
was able to back up the outlook 2000 but can not open it in outlook 2007. It
says " corrupted, damaged or not compatible". What should i do? thanks

Which exact backup method did you use? The Personal Folder Backup Add-in or
the Export function?
Do you still have the original pst-file?

Make sure you copy your backup back to the hard disk first and verify that
the Read Only file property isn't selected.
Then open Outlook and reconnect to the pst-file via;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
