Outlook 2000 will not open after XP sp2 installed

Shaun

I installed Windows XP service pack 2 today (not office service pack2), then
when I tried to start office 2000 Outlook I get the old "Microsoft Outlook
has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience." Bloody right an inconvenience.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling and I get the same results. The
rest of the office components seem to work fine, excel and word are OK. Any
suggestions on a fix?
