Outlook 2000 wont download email messages

Hi All,
While I am using the outlook function sending/receiving
emails from my pop account the outlook says I am receiving
messages but none is really appearing into the inbox!! Any
idea what is the reason for this? I installed new outlook
on another computer and that is working fine. (using the
same email account) If the problem persists I need to re-
install the outlook. Is there anyway to keep the current
settings/folders as they are right now while re-installing
the outlook 2000?

I suspect the inbox is corrupted. How to correct that
problem?

thanx in advance,
jp

If you suspect corruption then close Outlook and run the scanpst.exe repair
tool.

Thanks Robert,

I actually did as you told but the scanpst says no
problems were found. This is really mystical error.
Sometimes I am getting a message while downloading
messages. It looks like I must re-install the outlook.
Where to find good information how to do the
reinstallation in a way that shortcuts and old folders
remain...?? The email provider says there are no problems
with the email-account. Any body else experiencing similar
problems?
