Steve
I have a client that I recently upgraded from Win 98 to
Win XP Pro on his Dell Inspiron 7500 laptop.
He had Office 2000 Business Edition disks but never fully
installed the files beyond Word 2000. Now he wants to use
Outlook instead of Outlook Express.
When I tried to install Outlook from his Installation CD
it seemed to install fine. However, when I try to open
Outlook, it trieds to create the Outlook folders but then
issues a message saying he can't open his .ost file, whihc
is where it's supposed to be, and that he's got to connect
to an Exchange Server first, which he isn't able to do
because his system doesn't connect to any ES system.
I've installed all the Office updates, which also seemed
to install OK but I still can't open Outlook.
The error message that's reported is:
Exception number: e06d7363
Can anyone help out here?
Thanks,
Steve Hamm
