Hi,
i have created an HTML signature for myself, which includes a html
page and seven images. I have placed the files in the relevant
directory (C:\Documents and Settings\SYST8\Application
Data\Microsoft\Signatures) in my Win XP PC and in
(C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures) in my Win 98 PC.
I have gone to Tools->Options->Mail Format and selected Mail Type as
HTML.
Then in signatures i have selected the html file which has the
signature. The preview appears fine, and i have De-Selected Dont Send
Signatures for Replies and Forwards, since i want the signature to be
inserted when i reply / forward a message.
When ever i reply to a mail that is sent in text format Outlook
converts my reply to text format removes the images and displays empty
boxes with image not found. Rightclicking on the image gives the path
as Outbind:/23/...
Secondly when ever i send a html formatted message to web mail clients
like Yahoo / Hotmail, their mail systems break up the message into
separate attachments and do not allow the user to view the signature
properly.
I would like suggestions as to a work around this, or how i can send
an image signature that does not look bad when viewed by mail clients
receiving in text only format
Thanks
