Outlook 2000

I'm trying to configure Outlook to verizon online email. When Outlook
executes it searches for server, but after several minutes comes back says
Account: 'incoming.verizon.net, POP3 server; Incoming.verizon.net error
number 0x800ccc0d. I've setup the incoming and outgoing servers according to
instructions from verizon, but its not working. Do I need to do something
with the Norton personal firewall. Help

Hi,

Checking the error message, it seems either there is some problems with the
network connectivity(Internet Connection) or that the account settings might
be incorrect.
Check the account settings from the following link. Do make sure the server
settings are written in lower case letters.

Have you configured the firewall to allow Outlook to access the Internet?
