Outlook 2002 - 2 users sharing same email account

I have two users on the same machine. For them, we have a common email
account for their department. I would like each user to share the same data
files, etc., so that if one person is using the computer on Monday, then the
other on Tuesday, they both see all emails downloaded on both days.

Is this possible with Outlook 2002? We have the possibility (we have the
licenses but haven't used them yet) to upgrade to Outlook 2003 if that would
help.

If each user is using their own logins with their own profiles (such as a
Windows XP machine) then you should be able to set up each Outlook profile
to use the same .PST. As long as both won't have it open at the same time
that should work fine. Ensure the users are logging off when they're done
rather than doing the Fast User Switching as you'll have problems if one
profile already has the PST in use and the other tries to access it.

Tools, Options, Mail Setup, Data Files? Then just pick one user to hold the
data and point the second user to the first user's existing PST file?

OK, thanks. I put that in place at the end of the day yesterday and
we'll see how it works out. Unfortunately, one has to changed the View
options to show hidden files and folders to be able to navigate to the
right spot, then reinstate that afterwards, but other than that, it
seemed simple enough to do.
