Got a problem that I hope someone can give me some insight.
We have Outlook 2002 mostly using Exchange 2000 lastest
SP. We use LDAP to look up some addresses as well as the
GAL. LDAP for those not in the GAL but still on corporate
network.
Using the Outlook 2002 client I configure LDAP using SSL
with following settings and all works fine.
server name: server.trw.com
server port nr: 3269
use ssl: checked
server search timeout: 60
username: domain\username
password: *****
search base: dc=trw,dc=com
On 2003 I configure the same (have tried using SPA and
not) but it won't work always giving error about invalid
search base... is there a way to figure out what the
trouble is?
As a second issue if I change search base to
ou=us,dc=info,dc=trw,dc=com the queries to server can be
successful but with 2003 when using address book and
select the LDAP service the initial query (done right
after selecting LDAP service) fails (after waiting 60
secs) But if I type name on to line and press alt K it
seems to work ok.
Strange ... any thoughts?
