Outlook 2002 and Attachments

Setup:
Windows XP/SP1
Outlook 2002/SP1

We save off our emails as *.msg files. Sometimes a .msg file may contain
multiple Word documents.

What is occuring is that later when we go to open the *.msg file (by double
clicking on it from the file system) it opens in Outlook...however one of the
two Word documents will not open. We get the "Can't write to file....." and
check permissions message. Permissions are fine. We have tried adding *.doc
file to the new security setting in the registry...but that hasn't had any
affect.

Any suggestions?

I'm curious: why would you want to do this? Doesn't it make messages more
difficult to manage, since you can't search, you can't tell in any way
what's in them without dragging them back into Outlook to view.
