Dear All,
I am currently have to deploy an unmanaged COM add-in to
work in Office XP (2002) environment.
Basically, I would like to get rid off the annoying
security messages.
I order to do so, I digitally signed my COM add-in and add
the CheckAdminSettings registry key in the appropriate
location.
I intalled and published the Defualt Security Settings
form on the Server and use the very same digitally signed
COM add-in to so.
When I am using Outlook 2003, the Outlook behavior is as
expected. A pop-up asking me if I trust this COMM add-in
is popped-up and when I enable and trust it togheter with
the addministrator setting, I am able to make all annoying
pop-ups to disappear. However, this is the case only while
using Outlook 2003.
When I am trying to run the COM add-in on Outlook XP,
nothing happens and the outlook does not ask me to trust
and enable the COM add-in. More over even when I change
the security level to low, or change the value of
DontTrustInstalledFiles to 0, I am still getting the
security warnings when my add-in is trying to access the
Outlook object model.
Any help will be appriciated.
Regards,
Michael
