I've read the responses regarding inability to use Word 2000 editor with
Outlook 2002. I think it was very inconsiderate of Microsoft to have this
situation exist. There was no mention of the incompatability of Outlook 2002
and Word 2000 when I installed the Outlook 2002 (that came with my Dell PDA).
Now I have the situation whereby I can no longer use Word as my email editor
and still have the Outlook 2002 ability to sync with my PDA. I should not
have to make this choice. Outlook 2002 should have been downward compatable
with earlier versions of Word. I should not be put in the situation of
needing to upgrade Word just to get back to the functionality of my previous
Outlook 2000.

It has only been posted on the Internet and in the Microsoft knowledgebase
for years.

Outlook 2000 syncs with most PDAs just fine. Whatever gave you the idea you
needed to upgrade?

No one put a gun to your head and made you buy a new Outlook license. If it
came with your PDA, no one forced you to install it.
