Outlook 2002 Calendar

We are attempting to use the the calendar (appointments)
to make reservations at our Monastery. It is currently
possible to create multi-day 'reservations' using the
event form by making appointments. As many of our guests
stay for more than a single day, 'reservations' appear
above the hour by hour scale as the design structure
considered appointments to occur within a single day. As
such, the 'reservations' appear above the hour scale and
the total number is finite. What we would like to achieve
is: 1) replace the hour by hour scale with room #'s
& 2) expand the current appointment's one-day limitation
to infinite.

We would appreciate any assistance you may be able to
provide.

Outlook supports only the types of views that you can create manually. What
you might do is use a table view instead of a day/week/month view. You could
group by date and then, within each date group, sort by the Location field,
putting the room number there.

Hello Sue,

Thank you for your response. I have created a reservation calendar with
a table view and have the following questions:

The columns from right to left are:

Location: (where does one go about entering in new locations?
Subject: Indicating person - previous calendar views would show label
colors - the table view does not. Can it?
Start: no questions
End: no question
Created: no question

Thanks again for your assistance.

I don't understand the question. You enter an optional location in the
individual appointment item or, if in-cell editing is turned on, in the
table row for an appointment
Subject: Indicating person - previous calendar views would show label
colors - the table view does not. Can it?

Table views support automatic formatting but not label colors.
