This will sound like the good old Microsoft test questions.
I have a client in a Windows domain with appx 50 PCs running 2000 and XP.
The server is 2000 Small Business and running Exchange 2000. The PCs also
have a combination of Office 2000 and Office XP. They have a 3rd party spam
filter from GFI that created a junk e-mail folder and redirects mail (spam)
to that folder for subsequent deletion. Most spam deletes just fine,
however, they have 52 messages at the moment that will not delete. A window
pops up saying Unknown Error. You can't open the e-mail, cannot delete it,
and (on a whim) preview pane can't see it either. I don't think the problem
is with GFI's product. I found severa fixes on the net, but none fit the
problem, because the other e-mails delete just fine and the company's send
and receive is also working fine.
Suggestions?
