Outlook 2002 closes when sending message

Hello all,

Sorry for the lengthy post...

My Outlook closes when I attempt to SEND a message. The message window
stays open but Outlook behind it closes. I sometimes get an RPC error. When
I try to close the message window, I get an error about needing to close
Word. I use Task Mgr to close Word and then the message window will close.

Outlook 2002 current SP
Win XP Pro
No AV running at the PC (uninstalled SW for testing)
Win2k3 Server (recent update from NT4.0)
Ex2k3 from (recent update from Ex5.5)

The problem began as Outllook simply closing when it was opened. The full
Outlook window would appear, then an hour glass for a few seconds, then
Outlook would close. Somehow I graduated to at least being able to create a
new message. I just can't send it. Outlook in safe mode bombs also.

I have tried:

- Uninstall/reinstall
- New profile
- Unchecked all start up items in msconfig
- Renamed a bunch of files in Outlook folders under \uname\local
settings\apps\ms\outlook and under \uname\apps\ms\outlook
- Unchecked all COM add ins
- Ran scanpst

Outlook did OK (good sends) for a couple of minutes after the
uninstall/reinstall and new profile but then fell back to closing when trying
to send.

Thanks for any ideas because I'm out of 'em...

Brian
