Outlook 2002 contacts alphabetical order?

HAAK

For the past couple of months, when I add new contacts to
Outlook 2002 they get stored at the end of the list, not
matter what their last name is.

Then, when I click on the letter of the "directory" on
the right side of the contacts screen (a,b,c etc) it
takes me to the first person with that letter in their
name in this new list (the list that starts after "z"
entries in my original list). It's very wierd.

In fact, it seems to have started 2 new lists in this way.

Any advise on how to correct it?

Thanks!

How are you entering these Contacts?
How many Contacts Folders are in your profile?
What started this behavior?

I am not 100% sure when it started...but I think it
started when I installed East Asian fonts. US English is
the primary language and English XP is the OS.

It behaves this way on both my home and office computers.

The contacts are entered in different ways. Sometimes
manually, sometimes via a v-card, sometimes when synching
with Pocket PC.

Thanks!
