Outlook 2002 contacts & calendar synchronisation with Nokia 6310

I am unable to make my Nokia phone synchronise with my work PC (Win XP,
Outlook 2002) using Nokia's PC sync software (v. 4.8.1) and serial cable. It
is communicating (I have used the content copier to get data from the phone
to the PC) and it goes through the whole sham of synchronising and only when
you read the synch log does it let you know it has synchronised nothing! I
have tried all permutations of the Nokia PC Synch options, I have moved my
contacts from the SIM card to the phone memory, and neither Nokia or I can
think of any other solution...
It worked fine at home on Outlook 2000 and Win 98 SE! If anyone can help -
please do!
