Hi there,
I am trying to determine the best way to fix this, and hope that the
brilliant folks here might have some suggestions. We are using Outlook 2002
(XP) on our Citrix server.
There is one problematic profile that has driven me to my wits end. On this
profile only, when the user opens Outlook, it crashes. On restart, it offers
to open in Safe Mode (this will allow the user access to emails, etc), but
this does not retain signatures and other customizations.
In other profiles, Outlook appears to open and function just fine, so it
appears to be a profile specific problem.
These are the things I have tried:
Local Settings\Application Data - I have renamed the extend.dat file; I have
completely backed up and then completely removed the Outlook folder -- no
luck here; restored back to original state
%AppData% - I have backed up and completely removed the Outlook folder --
also no luck
Registry - I have backed up and completely removed all registry entries in
the current user tree (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook as
well as HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\10.0\Outlook) -- no luck
here, either
Detect and Repair does not work as this is a Terminal Services environment.
We do use a Barracuda Spam Filter add-on, but none of the other users seem
to be having any issues with it. I temporarily uninstalled this as well, but
it did not appear to be the culprit.
Event viewer gives an application error of "Faulting application
outlook.exe, version 10.0.2627.1, faulting module outllib.dll, version
10.0.2627.1, fault address 0x001d97cd." But I haven't been able to find
good/specific info for this using google.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Tim
