Outlook 2002 (Exchange) recurring appointments all in past?

Using Outlook 2002 on an exchange server. Corporate Blackberry server
synchronizes my Blackberry Pearl wirelessly. Problem is.....suddenly many
recurring appt's stopped showing on my Blackberry. The problem appt's (past
and future) are still in the outlook calendar, BUT they all show "all
instances of this appt are in the past"....even though the recurring dates
extend many months in the future.
