Outlook 2002 hangs

S

scousette

I installed Outlook 2002 onto a clean installation of Windows 2000. I
was able to run it initially, but after installing ActiveSync (3.5 and
3.7, I'm back to 3.5 now) it now hangs every time I try to start it --
the "Configuring Outlook" dialog appears and then the program stops
responding. I tried reinstalling both Outlook and ActiveSync but this
hasn't worked. I never had this problem running Outlook and ActiveSync
under Windows 98.

I really need to back up my PocketPC (contacts, calendar, tasks), and as
far as I know Outlook is the only way to do this. Help! I'm getting
married soon and I really need to be able to use Outlook!!

Thanks in advance for any advice.
