Outlook 2002 in Office XP not remembering email password

How does one fix the problem of OUTLOOK 2002 continually
promting for the password despite having 'remember
password' ticked? I have found some information on how to
fix this problem with Windows 98, Millenium and NT, but
not for XP. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Microsoft\Protected Storage
System Provider in Winows XP (Home Edition). I cant find
it on the Microsoft site.

The following MSKB article should help. It's actually written for
Outlook Express, but it works for Outlook 2002 also (as well as earlier
Outlook versions). Just ignore the parts that refer to Outlook Express.
