I just bought an HP IPAQ PDA. It came with OL 2002, and
said that I should upgrade to work with the latest
activesync. I did. So now I have Office 2000, and Outlook
2002.
Outlook 2002 downloads email from my POP server MUUUCH
slower than Outlook 2000. (E.g. a minute or so instead of
several seconds).
I've done some google-searching and it appears that many
people have the problem with outlook 2002. I've turned
off the Instant messenger integration, which did not help.
The only answer I've found in my searching is to install
the Office XP service pack. I've downloaded it but when I
run it complains that I don't have Office XP-- I only have
Outlook 2002, along with my older Office 2000 word/excel.
Does anyone have a solution for this? Is there an updater
just for OL2002? Is there any other way to improve the
performance? Or do I need to uninstall and reinstall
Outlook 2000?
