Outlook 2002 keeps deleting all files from Inbox

Help !

At various intervals, in Outlook 2002, SP2, all messages
from the Inbox keep disappearing, without any "Message
Rules" enabled.

At other times, the old e-mail contents that were saved in
a .pst file, are all re-loaded into the Inbox.

Has anyone experienced anything like this, and if so, any
suggestions on fixing the problem?

Are you sure you're not just changing your view settings on the Inbox
inadvertently, which may hide the items one day and make them appear again
the next?
