I moved this version of Office from a computer running XP Pro to one running
Vista Home Premium (64 bit version). I ran the update to get Outlook SP3.
After importing address books and email messages, I'm having trouble getting
Outlook to remember my email server password. Therefore, every time I start
Outlook and execute send/receive for the first time, I get the Network
Password dialogue box asking me to enter the password. I have the box
checked in the settings to remember the password. Of course, when I enter
the password and continue working in Outlook, I can choose send/receive and
it works fine until I close Outlook and open it the next time. Does anyone
know if this is a bug or a compatibility problem between Outlook 2002 and
Vista?
