usually when there is a hotfix, it's replaced only when it's superseded
by
another or replaced by a SP or publically available fix.
Hi Diane,
Thanks for the info. I have tried phoning the number on the webpage you
gave
me, only to be told that this particular hotfix is no longer available!
Currently, I'm waiting for Microsoft to get back to me on this. I spent
an
hour being shunted from one person to the next...
Strange that there WAS a hotfix for this problem (and thus it is a
recognised bug), but no longer. It makes Outlook and other progams
totally
unusable while it hogs 100% CPU usage.
Anyone out there with a copy of this hotfix you can email me?
Regards,
Jules
:
that one is fixed by this one:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829346/ -
which still requires a call.
the only info I have for UK is at
http://support.microsoft.com/oas/default.aspx?ln=en-gb&c1=505&x=14&y=11&gprid=2559&
I have no idea if the options are the same... there is no charge for
hotfixes but getting to the right person can be challenging.
Hi Diane,
It is this one:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/822982/
Do you have a UK number I can phone for this? Or the URL?
Best Regards,
Jules
:
This one:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/867821 ?
Call 1-800-936-4900 (press 3 for hotfixes) and tell them you're
calling
to
obtain the hotfix described in KB [number] and they should fix you
right
up.
Since installing the latest Office updates, I get 100% CPU usage
while
trying
to compose HTML emails, making it impossible to use Outlook.
Can anyone supply me with the download URL for the Outlook 2002
post-Service
Pack 3 hotfix package? I understand this fixes the issue.
Regards,
Jules
