Outlook 2002 reversing first and last names

On entering a new contact, after I enter the first and
last names (either directly in the full name field or in
the drop-down name checking box, the first and last names
are immediately reversed in both places. This just started
after upgrading to Office XP. I have laptops that don't do
this and want to locate the blank contact form template so
that I can replace it on the desktop computer, but can't
seem to find anything but "CONTACT.CNFG". I copied this to
a cd and tried to replace the original CONTACT.CNGFG on
the desktop computer, but it didn't make any difference.
Has anyone else encountered and/or fixed this problem?

Reversed in what field? After you answer that, look at how you have that
field configured in Tools > Options > Preferences > Contact Options.
