I have several installs of OfficeXP where Outlook is
delaying on the preview pane/message display. (1-3 second
delay) But if I go in and make a change to local
archiving, or add and remove a client side rule, and then
save the settings, the delay goes away.
Mind you, there are no rules setup on one of the machines
in question. All I have to do is make an apparent "change"
to the rules environment, one that refreshes the rule
application, and the Outlook delay disappears... until
such time as I close Outlook and restart it, in which case
the delay comes right back.
I am running OfficeXP, SP-2, and have been through the
Office Update site for all application updates. This
problem is still dogging me!
Should I unregister the rules.dll and replace with a fresh
copy? is there a cached file that is the main repository
location for the rule set?
Is there a key in the registry that defines client side
rule application in messages?
Anyone else had this issue?
TIA,
