When starting up Outlook, I am prompted for my Windows
ID/password and domain. When I supply these it goes
through OK and starts Outlook. When I exit then re-enter
Outlook, it does not remember the password in the window
that prompts for the ID/password/domain. The ID and
domain is remembered. There is no save password check
box. I have tried the proceedure in article 321652 and
259416 - both deleting the Protected Storage System
Provider keys and inserting a missing value in the
clientprotocol portion of the registry. I have also ran
the logonbox.reg utility suppied by Microsoft. Yet the
problem remains. I have also tried using "non", "password
authentication" and "distributed password authentication"
in the logon field under properties. Interestingly there
is no longer a "NT distributed Password" although it is
referenced in the help file.
Could there be something in the system that could
suppress the ability to save the password?
Thanks in advance.
