Outlook 2002 - Send Error 0x8804060c

AggieDusty

I typed it in on the error finding page of microsoft and it said all I had to
do was download the newest servicepack to fix it, but I did that and the
problem still exists. I can receive mail fine, but when I try to send it, it
actually repeatedly sends the messgae while telling me that it had an error.
Then if I try to delete it out of my Outbox it says, " C:/documents and
settings/.................pst has reached its maximum size. To reduce the
size pick some files you no longer need and permenantly delete them. I can
not find where it is that I need to execute this "permenant deletion".
PLEASE HELP!!

it sounds like your pst is at 2gb. First, use shift +delete on everything in
the deleted items folder. Then either delete old messages you no longer need
or create a new pst and move older messages to it. You could use autoarchive
to automate it, or just move the items yourself.

Permanent delete is done either by holding the shift key while pressing the
Delete key, or by emptying the Deleted Items folder after doing a normal
delete. The "fix" you applied allows you to now see WHY you 're unable to
use Outlook, your Personal Folders file is at it's maximum size. In
addition to permanently removing data from the file to reduce it's size, the
following may help:
