Outlook 2002 - send mail hangs? resulting in recipients receiving duplicates

I am sending a weekly HTML newsletter to approximately 57
people. Sometimes, Outlook appears to hang in the SEND
process. It eventually ends but sometimes the recipients
receive multiple copies of the message (sometimes 2 to 5
copies). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to
troubleshoot or prevent the problem?
