Chris
I've seen some posts regarding this but no resolution.
We're having this problem as well. When a large (>0.5 MB) e-mail is
sent from 1 user in particular, recipients within the network &
outside the network are receiving multiple copies.
Sender is using Outlook 2002 as POP3, running McAffee. The problem
happens both when the user is on site & offsite (at home). The e-mail
appears stuck in the Outbox. The user gets a series of error messages
in her In Box that the message could not be sent - too large. She
looks in her Sent Items & nothing is in there. She looks in her
Outbox & it is still stuck in there.
On site, we're running Exchange 2003 on a W2003 box. I've seen
questions asking if people are using a firewall. We've just got a
basic SMC2804WBR router.
Haven't noticed the same issues with others. All also using Outlook
2002 but are using Norton instead of McAffee. Some are using POP3 &
some Exchange mailboxes. These other users are probably not sending
as many large e-mails though.
I'm trying to help but I'm still a neophyte so forgive me if I've not
included details that might be necessary.
Would be super appreciative for any help!
Thanks much,
Chris.
