I see other posts on this subject but I don't seem to see a solution.
The shutdown first occurred seconds after entering Outlook. Someone
recommended deleting a file (whoes name I can't recall but I think it
ended with a .sys) which I now assume turned off the automatic Send/
Receive on entering Outlook. So now Outlook doesn't shut down until I
click on the Send/Receive button.
I did a repair as someone recommended to no avail. I then created
some new personal folders (.pst) to which I transferred the contents
of my old .pst files which I then deleted, also to no avail. I also
tried shutting down the PC without exiting Outlook. I got the
"program not responding" warning followed by a shut down of the PC. I
have since installed Mozilla Thunderbird which is working fine but I
miss the features that Outlook provides.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks,
Terry
