Outlook 2002 SP3 AutoPreview

My AutoPreview keeps resetting to AutoPreview even after I reset it back to NOT autopreview the first couple of lines of the message. I've notice the AutoPreview resetting when I take Outlook down and back up again but just today I've noticed that it comes on even when this is not done.
How can I address this 'annoyance' better?
