Outlook 2002 - "Uploading changes in deleted items" message

K

kerbish

I tried to upload several arge attachments with emails for a friend (4MB to 7
MB size) and some were successfully sent and and some were not. My outlook
program however keeps trying to resend these emails even though I have
deleted everything in all folders and I get the message "uploading changes in
deleted items" in the lower right hand corner down by server status. The
number started as 1 of 6 and has now grown to 1 of 24. This really has
bogged down my outlook program to a crawl. I have tried uninstalling and
reinstalling Office XP Small Business but this did not solve the problem. I
did not however deleted my backup files as I did not want to lose my address
book. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks

Click on File->Work Offline. Completely close Outlook and then reopen it. Delete the unwanted items from your outbox. Then click on File and uncheck Work Offline. Close and restart Outlook.
