When I try to import or export with Outlook 2002, I get the message: Outlook
cannot start the required translator. Install now? When I click Yes, I get no
response. I have Windows XP, Office 2000, Outlook 2002. Any help?

Why are you using the import/export function in the first place? The only
reason to use that function is to import/export Outlook data to or from a
third-party format such as an Excel spreadsheet. It is NOT a recommended way
of making any sort of backup, if that is what you are trying to do.

I want to import 2500 addresses from a Word or txt file.

have you tried adding the converters in Control Panel-Add/Remove
Programs-Microsoft Outlook-change or remove?

I'm frustrated and confused. I tried to "Change" Outlook from Control Panel,
and it says, Installation source not found. I inserted the CD from which I
got Outlook 2002 (Dell Axim X51 installation programs) and got the same
message. I tried to Remove Outlook 2002, same result.

Was the boot drive of this PC changed at all (i.e., to replace a smaller
boot disk with a larger one)?

I recently imported my addresses from excel into outlook 2002 and got the
same message. When the message came up I put my original install disk in the
CD/DVD tray and then clicked 'yes". It installed what it needed then
finished the import fine.
