I has just upgraded from Outlook Express 6 to Outlook
2002 (as per Knowledge Base Article 291602); however,
Outlook will neither send nor receive. Test Account
Settings yields the error: "The specified server was
found, but there was no response from the
server."...etc...and "Unable to connect to the incoming
mail server (POP3)".
I don't get this problem with Outlook Express.
I see a number of people have reported this problem here
and are generally advised to check the account/connection
settings and to ensure that they are the same in Express
as they are in Outlook 2002. I have been through the
Account settings again and again and they look absolutely
identical to me.
I am using Windows XP Professional on a stand alone PC,
my internet connection is cable.
Any ideas? What am I missing?
