Outlook 2002

When I start up Outlook on my OfficeXP install, it take a
long time to open emails or browse thru the lists...like
upto 5 mins to open 1 mail.

Oulook can also "stop responding"

Surfing and other apps like Word are ok--email ..this
used to work fine.

I have XP Pro installed on a Compaq EVO laptop with 512Mb
of ram , 2Ghz COU and access my mail over a Lan.

Other machines work just fine in the same config.

Would greatly appreciate an answer to this as it is very
irritating and makes outlook almost impossible to use.

Try disabling the integration with Instant Messenger in Tools | Options
| Other and see if that speeds things up.
