Outlook 2002

I'm having a problem with outlook 2002. Each time I
initiate a new email message, I get the dialog box with
the message "A program is trying to access email
addresses stored in outlook. Do you want to allow this?
If this is unexpected, it may be a virus and you should
choose No".

I've update MS Office and Norton. A virus scan with
norton did not detect a virus.

Does any know the cause of the this problem?

I suspect you are using Word as your Email editor. If so, Word has an
add-in, like one from Adobe, that does not adhere to the new Microsoft
security model that Office SP2 implements. You have three choices: 1) see
if Adobe (or whichever vendor makes your Word add-in) has an update, 2)
remove the add-in from Word, or 3) don't use Word as your Email editor.

If you have recently applied Office XP SP3, it's a known issue; security has
been updated to more closely match the security in Outlook 2003. You may be
able to get around the problem by either disabling Word as your e-mail
editor or updating some of your add-ins, especially virus scanners and spam
filters (many major manufacturers have already released compatible updates).
