Outlook 2003/2007 compatability

At work, I have Outlook 2003, and Windows XP is the OS. At home, I have
Outlook 2007, and I'm running Vista. When I had 03/XP at home, I synced
Outlook with my Palm Pilot. 07/Vista doesn't recognize my Palm Pilot - it's
too old (but perfectly workable). Is there any easy way of syncing without
dropping a small fortune on more hardware, or should I just go out and buy a
5 dollar date book and a 50 cent pencil and carry them around with me?
