I'm running Outlook 2003 SP3, connecting to corporate Exchange server. On
one laptop my outlook has started getting an "An extension failed to
initialize" message upon startup (no more details in msg). Most features of
Outlook work Ok. What does NOT is: Cannot open out of office wizard (it is
on menu but when selected nothing happens); if looking at the add-in manager
it appears blank and if you try to install one of the usual defaults it does
nothing and does not appear.
I have tried repairing the Office Pro 2003 installation (both repair and
then repair/reinstall options) and reinstalling SP3 with no resolutions.
The default add-in's should be (per
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/914909/en-us) and my registry entries do
indicate these as well.
• Delegate Access (checked)
• Deleted Item Recovery (checked)
• Exchange Extension Commands (checked)
• Exchange Extensions property pages (checked)
• Server Scripting
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Exchange\Client\Extensions]
"Remote Exchange
Extensions"="4.0;C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\emsui32.dll;6;111;111;MSEMS"
"Exchange Extensions"="4.0;emsuix32.dll;7;011111111111110;1111011100"
"Server Scripting"="4.0;scrptxtn.dll;1
"Schedule+"="4.0;C:\\PROGRA~1\\MICROS~2\\OFFICE11\\1033\\MSSPC32.DLL;2;01000000000001"
"Outlook Setup Extension"="4.0;Outxxx.dll;7;000000000000000;0000000000;OutXXX"
It is not my Exchange InBox as the Outlook from another workstation will
work fine.
Any ideas?
