I have noticed that once Outlook 2003 is install there seem to be issues with
Oracle databases.
One case is that when needing to connect to sessions on an AS400 with
outlook 2003 open you can not connect. This is not an issue with Outlook
2000. IBM has issues a fix for this to get around it. Another case and one
that is more important and odd is that when using an inhouse front end to a
database with outlook open we can not run any reports from it. with outlook
closed it works just fine. With outlook 2000 installed and open it works
just fine under both XP Pro and 2000 Pro.
What could Outlook 2003 be doing that causes conectivity issues with these
datbases?
