Outlook 2003 and the Junk E-Mail Folder

All,

I have a number of clients complaining that messages are being moved to
their "Junk E-mail" folder - they do not want any messages moved to this
folder as/is, and most of the messages going there are false positives (of
some sort) anyways.

They are using Exchange. We have a Barracuda in front of the Exchange
server, and I can find the messages in question as being Allowed. Besides,
the Barracuda wouldn't cause messages to go to this folder. Barracuda clear.

The Exchange organization is running SP2, which includes the IMF. However,
the settings on the IMF are set very conservatively, and many messages in
their Junk Email folders have SCL's of -1 or 0. IMF clear.

Users *claim* that the Outlook Junk Email Filtering is turned off. So what
gives?

The Exchange server also has junk filtering, I believe. Perhaps that's
operational.

Right, which is why I checked the SCL, which was not above the threshold
defined in the Exchange organization.

Well, d'oh. I missed that in your initial post.

Did you verify any of the claims? Did you ask as well in the Exchange Admin
newsgroup?
