Can someone point me to a location where Microsoft tells
you that Outlook 2003 and Word XP lose SENT TO
functionality? Also will this ever work?

No it will never work. I have no idea where MS says so officially - but you
need the same versions of outlook and word (or office) to use any of the
office envelope features or word as the editor.
