Outlook 2003 - Autojournaling of Office documents

O

I am running Outlook 2003 on a client computer of a Small Business Server
2003 network.

Although my auto-journal settings are enabled for Word, Excel, Powerpoint
and Project, the automatic entries are not being made. Any suggestions?

To clarify, yes all of my applications (word, excel, powerpoint, etc) are all
2003, as well as outlook and SBS/Exchange.

I've had same issue that started 11/15 about time some MS "updates" were
done. Have posted here on it and not seen any responses. Haven't been
able to reverse it yet. Have done "repair" of Outlook and Office. All
Office 2003 software. Have reviewed notes & know that registry entries
are correct. Last thought is to remove programs & re-install, but I
don't fancy the idea of investing all that effort. Real pain to have
lost that functionality.

Seems to be a theme developing here. My Journal stopped recording Excel &
Word activity after Feb 09 '08. Registry entries still set to record; Tools,
Options, Journal options all still enabled; MS Updates up-to-date. As Andy
says, real pain!

I think only selected contacts are journaled automatically. To select go
TOOLS>OPTIONS>JOURNAL. Then select the contacts to be auto journaled. Then
select the items and files to be journaled for that contact.

Had the same problem with Outlook 2007. Removed Google Toolbar and also
ViewPoint Player from Add/Remove Programs. That fixed the problem.
