Outlook 2003 automatically deletes valid emails.

Some emails from valid senders are automatically routed by Outlook to the
deleted items folder. I had this problem in Outlook 2000 and it seems to
have migrated when I recently upgraded to 2003. I have no rules, and I have
tried several times to add the senders to the safe senders list, but with no
success. I can't get it to just treat them as normal mail and leave in the
Inbox.

Outlook does not do that on its own. If it's not a rule, then it's an
add-in of some kind.

I'm having the same problem. Outlook 2003 occasionally deletes legitimate
messages from people I know and have received messages from in the past,
sometimes minutes before. I have added and re-added the addresses to safe but
it doesn't work.

I'll be at my computer and see a message pop up from a friend and then it
disappears apparently to the permanently deleted never to be seen again
folder. It's very frustrating.

What add ins are supposed to be on there? Any? Is there any place else I can
check? Can permanently deleted emails be retrieved?

Thanks
