Outlook 2003 - BCM

Anybody have a solution for the BCM not loading when Outlook 2003 is
started? Install appeared to go smoothly, but BCM does not show in
the COM add-ins. 3 other computers took program flawlessly and
registry entries for bad computer and others appear identical. Any
help would be appreciated.

Are you using an Exchange account? If so, BCM won't run.

Check the following registry key:
\HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Microsoft.BusinessSolutions.e
CRM.OutlookAddIn.Connect.1

Make sure the load behavior is set to 3.

The load behavior is set to 3. I have completely uninstalled Office
2003 Professional twice and reinstalled. That is since I uninstalled
Winfax Pro 10.1, which was keeping Outlook from running more than one
time per boot. I also uninstalled office 2003 after removing Winfax.

No I am not using an Exchange account unless it is possible for a
single computer on a small office peer to peer network to "think" it
is on an excahange account. What might I check for? I don't use a
server, but had one installed on one of the office machines about 6
months ago.

thanks.

Hmmmmm, well, at this point I'd suggest contacting Microsoft Product Support
Services. You get two free incidents per product. They can examine your log
file from installation and see if there are further errors that just aren't
showing up as visible messages.

The only other suggestion I'd have before you do that is to create a new
profile.

You did it. The profile was the problem. I created a new profile and
the BCM immediately kicked in. The old profile was actually one that
had been created when we were testing using a server for our small
network. Must have been something in that profile. THANKS!
