I am planning an Exchange 2003 upgrade, and I am going to have big
problems if I can't change the mail server in the user's mail settings.
I originally deployed Outlook 2003 to have cached mode unavailable and
not able to be changed (greyed out). (this was using the custom
installation wizard with an MST file) I have since changed the setting
to allow cached mode and give user the option to change it.
the problem is users that already have this setting can't change it.
Someone gave me a registry hack for this, but it doesn't work. The only
thing I can do is delete the user's Windows profile, which is a BAD
idea...
if anyone knows how to fix this without the above solution, or
uninstalling/reinstalling Office, please let me know.
thanks
