Outlook 2003 cannot receive e-mail

I am trying to set up a new e-mail account. I use Outlook 2003.
I've followed the steps of adding an account (POP3), Name, E-mail Account,
Inccoming/Outgoing servers are the same (mail.optonline.net) and user name
and password with remeber password checked.

When I test all works well accept I cannot receive. If I send an e-mail to
the new account (from an existing account) I get an error message "Unknown or
Illegal Alias". If I am in Outlook on the new account I constantly receive a
window pop-up "Enter Network Password" which I do (and check remember
password) but it does not accept it. I checked my spelling in the setup all
look perfect.
