Outlook 2003 - Can't change back to main Profile

I created a 2nd profile and a new related OL'03 email account for receiving
Gmail and initially after selecting via XP Pro (sp3) control panel/mail to be
prompted for a profile to be used, it worked fine when I initially started up
OL again. But now that I have the new profile/acct working fine, when I
close OL and restart it I am not given the choice and it goes to the new 2nd
profile/acct.

I also tried going back to CP/mail and checked "always use this profile" box
and hit apply for the main OL profile, but the same thing happens -- no
choice of profiles is given and the newly created 2nd profile/account is
loaded and now I don't have access to my main email acct (besides working via
the ATT online email which is a major problem). I shouldn't have to restart
my computer for a hard-restart of OL or should I? Thanks in advance ..

TerryGH, I have the same issue. When I first purchased my MSO 2007 Small
Business Suite, I had and am still having sending issues so the Tech support
at the time created a new profile which I cannot delete now. I sympathize!

Update -- After an XP reboot and then re-starting OL'03 I did receive the
choice between the two profiles so I am at least functioning with my main
email acct -- but isn't there a way to completely shut down OL without
re-booting for this purpose?

Thanks DL -- That article pointed the way to Trend Micro Anti-spam tool
which I disabled and re-started OL03 and get the popup to select the profile,
as it should.

Not sure if I have to start a new question thread, but I am probably going
to delete this one gmail profile and instead do the same thing with a
different gmail address. Can I just change the profile/OL acct information
and rename the pst file, or should create the new profile/email acct from
scratch and then delete the profile/acct not needed?

This is an indication that Outlook is continuing to run even when you think it
should be closed. Examine the Processes tab in Task Manager and see if
OUTLOOK.EXE appears there. If so, figure out why.
